We blog now!

It is wintertime and as the mercury drops, the task of moving becomes more daunting for older adults and their families. Cabinets display beautiful family china, crystal and linens that hold memories of dinners past,  but are now awaiting their future. Solid wooden furniture pieces faithfully sit in their longtime places, deserving of use and appreciation for generations more. Tensions can rise as families work through emotions as thick as the piles of papers to be sorted. That is where we, The Seniors Moving Company, can help.

After 11 years of experiencing many of these delicate situations, Lisa has now facilitated hundreds of relocations; easing moving pains with a reassuring demeanor and an experienced and understanding staff.  We’ve been at this a while, and its finally time to blog about it.

To those of you who know us, you know what we’re capable of and are thankful for all of the wonderful recommendations. To those who have yet to experience the joys of having a partner in the relocation process, here we are!  Whether you’re an old friend, or a new one, we look forward to sharing tips, resources, and company updates with you here. Thank you for following along.

The goal of this blog is in line with our overall goal: we strive to assist older adults and their loved ones in making healthy decisions while transitioning homes. We’re excited to share some of our knowledge and equally pleased to highlight the ways that other businesses and initiatives are attempting to achieve likeminded goals.

A lot has happened in the past year. Our own families have faced the difficulties that we seek to help others with, we’ve moved into a new office, added new staff members (who you’ll meet soon), been featured in articles and interviews, and formed fruitful partnerships with amazing people who work as hard as we do to support seniors. We’ve got a lot to talk about and we want to thank you in advance for taking the time to follow along. We welcome your comments and we welcome your questions. We want your queries about all things moving and downsizing to be heard and addressed.

Stay tuned! More to come soon.
